During the last 50 years large series of cargo motor ships for inland and river/sea navigation were built in compliance with the projects of DOS «VYMPEL».
In 2002, Vympel developed the project of a multi-purpose dry cargo motor vessel type «Valday»
for river-sea navigation, and its modernization - «Russich» starting the construction of a full series
of ships at a number of Russian shipyards: Northern Shipyard, «Krasnoye Sormovo» shipyard,
«A.M.Gorky» shipyard in Zelenodolsk, «Okskaya Sudoverf» shipyard in Navashino.

In the same place it was built more than 60 units of shallow-draught motor ships of 2800 t carrying capacity for rivers of the Siberia and the Far East.

The DOS took active part in the introduction of the ship steering by pushing mode on inland waterways. Hundreds of push boats and tugs as well as large series of barge were built on the basis of the DOS's projects.
In the 70-80th, acc. to the order of the River Fleet Ministry, the DOS developed some projects of nonself-propelled tank barges of up to 3000 t carrying capacity intended for carriage of all types of oil products on inland waterways. More than 30 barges were built at Tyumen and Krasnoyarsk shipyards.

RR class "M-C (Ice)"
In 1981 the DOS worked out a design of a refrigerator ship for he carriage of fruits and vegetables. A special feature of ship of this type is their universality. The idea for using the air conditioning system allowed to adapt the ship for the carriage also of grain, timber and containers. It was built 60 units.
