Results of OJSC DO “Vympel” activities during the period from January to June of year 2010 For OJSC DO “Vympel” the first half of 2010 year is characterized by the development of business relations with partners and conclusion of new contacts in civil ship design.
1) On 14.05.2010 OJSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” (in the person of OJSC “Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Maintenance Center”, city of Vladivostok) and OJSC DO “Vympel” signed the contract for development of the engineering design of tanker DWT 3100 tons (design 00211). It is planned to build two tankers at the OJSC “Amur Shipbuilding Yard” (city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur).
Tanker is intended for loading, carriage and simultaneous discharge of up to four types of oil products of from 0.7 up to 1.0 t/m3 density without limitation for flash point. Principal particulars of tanker design 00211 are the following: Ship’s class: ÊÌ Arc AUT1-ICS OMBO Oil tanker (ESP of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. Length overall.............88,9 m; Breadth molded.............13,4 m; Depth.......................7,9 m; Draught.....................5,5 m; Range..............ab. 4000 miles; Speed.................ab. 13.0 kn; Crew......................15 pers. 2) In the beginning of 2010 year the most significant event for OJSC DO “Vympel” became the signing of the contract with Krylov Shipbuilding and Research Institute (Design Bureau “Baltsudoproject”) for development of the working documentation of the engine room of the design 22420 supply vessel. The vessel is designed to supply floating drilling rigs with consumable drilling processing materials (pipes, cement, concrete stone, barite, drilling mud and brines), spare parts, fuel, water, provisions and material/production stock; also to render help to damaged vessels, floating drilling rigs and other floating facilities; to fight with fire on ships, floating and onshore facilities in accordance with the capacity of it’s fighting equipment. Principal particulars of design 22420 are the following: Length overall.................90,0ì; Breadth overall................19,0ì; Depth...........................9,5ì; Draught at deep waterline.......7,0ì; Deadweight..................ab.4415t; Displacement...................8016t; Full speed...................17,0 kn; Endurance....................30 days. For both OJSC DO “Vympel” and DB “Baltsudoproject” this work is very important, because it improves the interaction between two Russian design offices in creation and use of a unified 3D model of the whole ship (means of the TRIBON and AVEVA Marine systems). This will reduce the time of development of the working documents, provide the shipyard with metal nesting charts and pipe sketches. It is intended in the future to expand such interaction over the whole range of civil vessels. In 2010 year “Vympel” keeps on designing and technical support of construction of the ships for Russian Navy:

It is designed for activities around naval bases, for carriage personnel, stocks and small consignments (up to 10 tons). Principal particulars of the boat are approximately the following: LxBxH (m).......................48,79x9,10x4,18; Full displacement.........................406 t; Sea-going qualities provide safe boat navigation in seas up to 5. The boat maximum speed: not less than 17 knots. The cruising range at the economic speed: 1000 miles. The boat is equipped with up-to-date navigation outfit, radio navigation and radio electronic weapons, external communication means and observation facilities. The engineering project of update of the communication boat has been developed by OJSC DO “Vympel”.
